Mental Health Awareness Week at Remtek Workplace
At Remtek Workplace, we’re proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week – a nationwide initiative that shines a light on the importance of mental wellbeing.
As specialists in assistive technology and inclusive workplace assessments, we understand the vital connection between mental health and a supportive, accessible working environment.
This year’s theme is “Movement: Moving more for our mental health”, and it couldn’t come at a better time. With the rising demands of hybrid working, digital fatigue, and economic uncertainty, prioritising mental health at work has never been more important.
One of the most helpful products we are promoting this Mental Health Awareness Week is Be Mindful; an accessible digital program designed to equip employees with the tools they need to manage stress, anxiety, and depression.
Using mindfulness techniques and cognitive approaches, this expert-led program fosters emotional resilience and supports overall mental health, ensuring participants remain focused, productive, and well-equipped to face challenges at work. Explore here.

5 Practical Tips for Mental Wellbeing at Work
In addition to using the right tools and support, there are simple day-to-day habits that can protect and improve your mental health at work:
- Take movement breaks – Even a 5-minute walk or stretch can improve mood and focus.
- Set boundaries – Switch off from work at a reasonable time, especially when working remotely.
- Use supportive tools – Don’t be afraid to try technology that reduces mental strain.
- Talk to someone – Whether it’s a manager, HR, or a trusted colleague, opening up can be a huge relief.
- Create a calm space – Keep your workspace tidy and personalised with items that make you feel at ease.

Check out our Practical Coaching Tips to help with Mental Health challenges:
Name it to tame it – Encouraging individuals to label stressors (without judgment) helps reduce overwhelm and brings clarity to what’s actually within their control.
Micro-boundaries matter – Rather than aiming for big life changes, through coaching, we focus on small boundaries that protect mental energy, like blocking 15 minutes after meetings to decompress.
Turn coping into habit – We don’t just talk about mindfulness or self-care; we set goals to make them stick. That might mean adding a 3-minute breathing exercise before meetings or using tech tools to schedule regular breaks.
Reframe failure – Many clients struggle with negative self-talk. A powerful strategy is helping them view setbacks as data, not defeat. “What can I learn from this?” becomes a mindset, not just a question.
Build a strengths-first mindset – Rather than fixating on weaknesses, coaching helps individuals identify their natural strengths and find ways to apply those to manage stress and stay resilient.
