Cursor navigation is a leading cause of repetitive strain in the modern office. Remtek Workplace provides a targeted range of ergonomic mice, vertical mice, trackballs, and central pointing devices designed to correct poor posture and eliminate pain.

Traditional flat mice force the hand to sit horizontally, crossing the forearm bones and pinching nerves. Furthermore, placing a mouse to the far right of a keyboard forces the shoulder into an unnatural, outward rotation. Our alternative pointing devices, sourced from leading brands like Contour, Mousetrapper, Evoluent, Logitech, and R-Go, address these exact physical triggers.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does using a normal mouse cause wrist pain?

A standard flat mouse forces your hand into a posture called pronation. This twists the bones in your forearm, placing constant pressure on the nerves and tendons in the wrist. Over time, the repetitive micro-movements of clicking and dragging in this twisted posture lead to inflammation, RSI, and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

What is the advantage of a vertical mouse?

A vertical mouse rotates your hand into a neutral “handshake” position. This relieves pressure on the median nerve in the wrist and shifts the physical effort of moving the mouse away from the wrist and onto the larger, more resilient muscles of the forearm and shoulder.

How does a central pointing device fix shoulder pain?

Reaching for a standard mouse forces the shoulder outward, straining the neck and upper back muscles. A central pointing device (like a RollerMouse or Mousetrapper) sits squarely in front of the keyboard. This centres your workflow, keeping your arms directly in front of you and your shoulders relaxed in a neutral, forward-facing position.

Are trackball mice better for Carpal Tunnel?

Yes, trackballs are highly recommended for severe wrist conditions. Because the device stays completely still and the cursor is operated solely by the thumb or fingers, the wrist remains completely isolated and immobilised, preventing the sweeping movements that aggravate Carpal Tunnel pain.

Just finished my last session with Hafsa Aiyub. She is amazing she was so understanding and kind. She explained everything perfectly and in a lovely manner which was helpful because i have ADHD. If i was unsure she would repeat it and ask if i understood it. She made me feel welcomed and comfortable She was always happy to answer any questions i had and we had some giggles throughout the sessions. I will miss her and the sessions. The service was very helpful and I've been using the software in between sessions and it actually helped me on my last assignment so much. Thank you so much Hafsa for helping me o my education journey

As I'm someone who struggles to communicate and take in information, I found Ian to be friendly, patient and reassuring. He checked to make sure I was understanding the information that was being taught and explained things in easy and understandable ways therefore I tended not to have questions. I am very thankful for the help and training I have had with Ian. The training he has given has allowed me to write up my essays far easier than before I had the knowledge I now have regarding the programmes.

I have just had my last session of workplace coaching with John-Michael Farrar. I have found the sessions with John-Michael extremely useful, helping me put practices in place to make everything run so much more smoothly and less stress along the way. It has been really good to chat with John-MIchael over the sessions with someone who understands without any judgement and is always friendly and positive. I can't thank John-Michael enough, it has been life changing for me. I am looking forward to the New Year with a great deal of positivity. Thank you again John-Michael
